I found this link through the website http://www.brainy-child.com/news.shtml, which provides current news on the topic of baby/child brain development.  This particular article presents new information that suggests that a direct correlation exists between children’s ability to pay attention and follow directions in school to the interaction and warmth they received as infants by their mothers.  This is a great example of the key role mothers play in the development of their children.
